ILOILO City – The barangay captain of Don T. Lutero East, Janiuay, Iloilo was arrested for stabbing an uncle who was also his barangay councilman, police said.
The 49-year-old Rodolfo Mamon was taken to the municipal police station while his 62-year-old uncle Jose Mamon Jr. was rushed to the Federico Roman Tirador Sr. Memorial District Hospital also in Janiuay on Saturday night.
The stabbing happened at around 9:55 p.m. after the barangay captain told his uncle and other relatives to stop binge drinking and go home.
The uncle did not heed his nephew’s order to go home, police said.
