MANILA – Senators Cynthia Villar and Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao were still the richest among the senators in the 17th Congress based on their statements of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN).
Villar, who topped the 2019 senatorial elections, has a net worth of P3,719,941,858.00 without any liability, while Pacquiao was at second with P3,005,808,000.00 net worth but has liabilities of P146,005,728.00.
In her 2017 SALN, Villar has a net worth of P3,611,260,766, while Pacquiao declared a net worth of P2.9-billion.
At third was Sen. Ralph Recto, who has a net worth of P555,324,479.82, followed by Juan Miguel Zubiri with P182,851,570.34 and Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara with P135,840,710.00.
Jose Victor “JV” Ejercito has a net worth of P132,820,340.00, Franklin Drilon with P97,726,758.00, Sherwin Gatchalian with P96,210,607.14 and Grace Poe with P93,039,921.54.
Others in the list were Richard Gordon (P71,285,178.56), Vicente Sotto III (P70,120,700.30), Nancy Binay (P60,132,461.00), Loren Legarda (P56,290,602.11), Bam Aquino (P45,205,138.25), Panfilo Lacson (P42,442,341.00), Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel (P28,662,212.00), Joel Villanueva (P26,921,555.00), Gregorio Honasan (P25,882,099.00), Francis Pangilinan (P16,695,048.17), Risa Hontiveros (P15,627,176.04) and Francis Escudero (P10,575,228.00).
