Vintage bomb unearthed in San Jose

SAN JOSE, Antique – An undetonated vintage bomb was found at a construction site in this capital town.

One of the site’s workers discovered the explosive device around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Barangay 4.

Carpenter Sandy Francisco of Barangay Kamalig, Jaro, Iloilo City was doing a surface-clearing operation when he found the bomb, police said.

The explosive device measured 4 inches in diameter and 12 inches in length. It has a small tube tail.

The bomb was now in custody of the Antique Police Provincial Office. It will be properly disposed of./PN
