‘Violent’ OFW nabbed

BACOLOD City – An overseas Filipino worker was nabbed in Barangay Taculing.

The 48-year-old resident was caught on the strength of two arrest warrants around 5:45 p.m. on June 19, a police report showed.
Police officers served to the suspect the warrants for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9262, or the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act of 2004 and RA 7610, or the Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
The suspect was taken to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group office here but was released after posting bail bond of 36,000 for RA 9262 and P80,000 for RA 7610, respectively./PN
