IVC Elite, a division of Ideal Visa Consultancy, recently opened at the Mayfair Plaza and offers opportunities for students hoping to study and work abroad.
Joe Sarillo, deputy managing director for Ideal Visa Consultancy, said their company was the brainchild of Charity Mae Delmo and was founded in December of 2014.
It has nine branches in the country, such as in General Santos City, Cebu, Iloilo, Manila, as well as in the countries of Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.
However, due to the pandemic, the company scaled down its operations.
The company offers consultancy for Student Pathway and migration for Filipino families.
The Student Pathway gives opportunities for senior high school and those already in college to study and work in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
“At the moment most of the countries being marketed are Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. However, due to the pandemic, we are focusing on Canada,” she said.
She explained that IVC Elite is their new department, as their founder discovered an opportunity to help students who seeks higher education in the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Spain, France, and Germany.
Studying in college here in the Philippines only offers an associate degree upon graduation. If an individual aims for a “white-collar job” then studying abroad offers a better opportunity. While studying, he or she also earns by doing part-time jobs.
“Student Pathway is the easiest if someone wants to go abroad, and then seek permanent residency status,” Sarillo said.
Sarillo said an individual must apply for a student visa and choose between a one or two-year course. Students are allowed to get a part-time job equivalent to 20 hours a week.
If a student was able to find a suitable employer, who is willing to sponsor him or her for a working visa, the student can then transition from a student visa to a working visa provided that he or she had finished the two-year course.
In countries such as Canada, some universities allow Post-Graduate Work Permits (PGWP), such as the Trebas Institute in Montreal, Canada. Wherein after three years of PGWP, students will have three years to work full-time and during that time they can apply for a permanent residency.
Some countries may require the student to pass the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test, while those who are applying for a residency IELTS will be a standard requirement.
Other requirements may include a high school diploma, transcript of records, and proof of financial capacity. Countries like Canada may require a “show money.” Sarillo explained that show money is not for the agency, but a Canadian immigration requirement since Canada has a very high standard of living.
For students who want to study abroad, they may visit and inquire about the other requirements at their office which is located at Door 8, 2nd Floor, Mayfair Plaza, 12 and 13th Lacson Streets, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.
Ideal Visa also conducts webinars every Saturday./PN
