Vista Cinemas halt operations starting today

VISTA Cinemas released an official statement in light of the coronavirus disease emergency in the country.

“As urged by President Rodrigo Duterte, we have taken additional measures throughout our company to heed the call for the limitation of mass gatherings and promotion of social distancing as mandated by the government,” the statement read.

Vista Cinemas implemented a two-seat-apart seating scheme and lengthened intermissions to give maple time for sanitation of their theaters, among others.

To support the government’s stance suspending any form of mass gathering, Vista Cinemas announced the suspension of its operations.

“We will suspend operations beginning March 15. It is our company’s thrust to safeguard both our customers and our employees. During our two-week closure, we will take this time to further sanitize our cinemas to ensure a virus-free environment when we resume our operations,” it said.

Menwhile, the statement said Vista Mall, AllHome, All Day Supermarket, Coffee Project, and all retail outlets will remain open to public./PN
