The mall serves as a communal place where people go to buy their essentials and enjoy some leisure time. The Vista Mall Iloilo pet park allows customers and their pet dogs and cats to enjoy the amenities for a maximum of 10 minutes per pet upon presenting at least P300-worth of receipts.
Access to the park entails a few responsibilities from pet owners—updated vaccination records are required to be presented and pets should be wearing their leash and diaper prior admittance, owners are responsible for cleaning up immediately after their pets, and strictly no food allowed when inside park premises. Vista Mall Iloilo continues to promote responsible pet parenting and animal wellness through their pet-friendly events and activities this month. On Valentine’s Day, Vista Mall Iloilo hosted deworming, and anti-rabies vaccination activities, and on February 25, anti-rabies vaccination and agility training sessions were offered to those who graced the event. During the launch, customers were also treated to pet food sampling courtesy of NutriChunks. In the months to come, pet parents can expect Vista Mall Iloilo to roll out Pet Furrenting Seminars, a deworming and vaccination caravan, and a pet fashion show. In 2020, a video of a stray dog being gently escorted by a Vista Mall Security Guard turned viral and piqued the interest of many netizens and media outlets, putting a spotlight on the animal-friendly ways of Vista Mall employees—not only in Taguig but in their other malls as well. Although sheltering these strays is not an official project of the Villar-owned malls, management has decided to sustain this initiative and continue coordination with the local veterinary offices to ensure the health and safety of these animals.
