ILOILO City – Brace yourselves for a breathtaking fusion of synchronized dance movements and visual spectacle with the Dinagyang ILOmination happening tonight, Jan. 26.
On its second year, the spectacular illuminated dance showdown will feature seven tribes performing at the main stage. A grand opening will take place at the main entrance of SM City Iloilo at 6 p.m.
The tribes, which represent the seven districts of Iloilo City, are all set to mesmerize the audience with their creatively-lit costumes and dance skills.
Mayor Jerry P. Treñas, Iloilo Festivals Foundation, Inc. (IFFI) officers and VIP guests will join on stage with SM City Iloilo officers during the program.
IFFI executive director Joyce Anne Clavecillas said that all systems are already in place. The tribes will perform using the latest cutting-edge LED costumes, lighting effects, and synchronized choreography that will surely dazzle the crowd.
SM City Iloilo has been a reliable partner of the Iloilo City Government and IFFI for its continued commitment in supporting the Dinagyang Festival 2024 and for being consistent in delivering various events that complement the city’s programs and accolades.
As part of its commitment to this year’s celebration, SM City Iloilo – the ultimate shopping and entertainment destination in the region – transforms into the Heartbeat of the Dinagyang Festivities with its “AweSM Iloilo 2024” campaign.
These include AweSM Iloilo Dinagyang Festival Costumes Exhibit (January 15-28), 2nd Mayor Jerry P. Treñas Dinagyang Half Marathon 2024 (January 20), One Visayas Creative Fair (January 22-28), AweSM Iloilo Festival Sale (January 22-28), The Grand Iloilo Food Festival (January 25-28), AweSM Iloilo Tourism Desk (January 22-28), AweSM Iloilo Batchoy Festival (January 25-28), AweSM Iloilo Dinagyang Warriors Parade (January 25-28), Tech and Creators Festival (January 27-28), Awesome Iloilo Drone and Fireworks Display (January 26, 9 p.m.) and the Dinagyang ILOmination Grand opening (January 26), among others.
Both the revelers and shoppers will also get up to 50 percent discount on “AweSM Finds” during the AweSM Iloilo Festival Sale from January 22 – 28.
Spectators will witness a visual symphony as the ILOmination tribes will transform the street into a canvas of vibrant colors as dancers will adorn themselves with elaborate costumes embedded with LED lights.
The Senior Sto. Niño will be infused in the performances of the tribes while showcasing the economic and infrastructure developments of Iloilo City.
The Floats Parade of Light will come side by side with the Dinagyang ILOmination.
