
BACOLOD City – Bacolodnons may now register with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) for the 2022 national elections. The list-up has resumed.
City poll officer Jan Anthony Saril said their office is open from Tuesday to Saturday every week from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
They are closed during Sundays and Mondays.
Comelec-Bacolod has so far registered 55 individuals since the resumption of the voter registration on Oct. 1.
Saril assured the public that Comelec is enforcing health protocols such as limiting the number of people inside the office.
“Comelec can process 100 applications in a day,” he said
Registrants are advised to wear facemasks and face shields, and bring their own pens.
Voter registration here was suspended last month due to the modified enhanced community quarantine.
As of Monday night, Bacolod had 4,213 confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (1,141 active cases, 2,982 recovered cases, and 90 deaths)./PN
