ILOILO City – A problem in the voucher delayed the allowance of city athletes to the Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association (WVRAA) meet in Aklan last month.
Mayor Jerry P. Treñas assured the parents and athletes there is a budget.
“Kay may diperensya ang voucher, ginbalik sang accounting sa DepEd (Department of Education),” said Treñas.
He further noted that the Schools Division of Iloilo City has a new head in the person of Dr. Ma. Luz De Los Reyes who also served the division before.
The city mayor said he will meet with De Los Reyes regarding the matter.
“Sa mga parents indi lang kamo mag-worry…Maplastar ta man ina. I-schedule ko as much as possible ang DepEd para ma-istorya,” Treñas added.
The fund for the allowance WVRAA delegates from the city is sourced from the city government’s Special Education Fund./PN
