MANILA – Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio seems to already have a story for her next book following her controversial first children’s book “Isang Kaibigan”.
Duterte-Carpio urged the public to watch out for the next book she will write, which will be about a friend’s betrayal.
“Abangan ninyo ang susunod kong isusulat na libro tungkol sa pagtataksil ng isang kaibigan,” Duterte-Carpio said in a statement released on Thursday morning.
“Napakadaling sumulat ng maikling kwento batay sa sariling karanasan, hindi na kailangang mangopya pa,” the Vice President added.
Duterte-Carpio did not mention who was she alluding to but she recently recalled how President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and her sister, Sen. Imee Marcos, pleaded for her help during the 2022 national elections.
“After ng filing ng candidacy, lumapit magkapatid (Sen. Imee Marcos at PBBM) sabi nila, ‘Hindi kami mananalo kung hindi mo kami tutulungan sa Mindanao at Visayas,’” Duterte-Carpio said.
“Sabi ko, dahil maraming big-ticket projects si Pangulong (Rodrigo) Duterte sa Davao, Mindanao at iba pang lugar na gusto nating magpatuloy, tumakbo kami on the platform of unity and continuity,” she added.
Duterte-Carpio, however, said that those “big-ticket projects”in Davao and Mindanao were un-appropriated since they won the 2022 national elections.
The Vice President also said she is not on speaking terms with President Marcos since her resignation from his Cabinet post last month, while she remains friends with Senator Marcos.
Duterte-Carpio and Marcos Jr. ran under the “UniTeam” tandem in 2022 polls, but cracks on their political partnership surfaced due to several incidents since 2023./PN
