MANILA – Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio said she is willing to undergo a televised neuropsychiatric exam as soon as possible to show that she does not have a mental problem.

Duterte-Carpio made the remark after presidential son and Ilocos Norte’s Cong. Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” Marcos said that the Vice President might have a problem with her mental health following her tirades against the Marcoses.

“Wala akong problema dun, game tayo,” Duterte-Carpio said in an ambush interview in Pasay City on Tuesday afternoon. “I will call that, neuropsychiatric exam.”

In a statement on Tuesday morning, Marcos advised Duterte-Carpio not to take her mental health for granted following the Vice President’s latest statements against the Marcoses.

“As such, I still wish the Vice President well. Ultimately, her success, like the President’s, will be the success of our nation as a whole. May she find the peace of mind and mental clarity that seems to be eluding her,” Marcos said.

While she is willing to undergo televised neuro test, Duterte-Carpio also dared all aspirants seeking a seat at the House of Representatives to also take neuro and drug tests.

“As a voter, I demand magpa-drug test sila. Kayong lahat mga kababayan, you demand na mag-drug test ang mga congressional candidates, dahil kung unstable ako, sa paningin ko unstable rin sila,” Duterte-Carpio said./PN
