BACOLOD City – A waiting area for watchers of patients at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in Bacolod City is being eyed.

Negros Occidental’s Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson Lacson expressed his desire to provide a comfortable waiting area inside the regional hospital, as watchers often line up early in the morning.

Currently, the provincial government is strengthening the legal basis to acquire and convert the building beside CLMMRH, occupied by the University of St. La Salle-College of Nursing.

According to the governor, they plan to utilize parts of the building for other purposes.

Meanwhile, Lacson also revealed that the provincial government is finalizing development plans for properties previously occupied by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Bacolod and the Boy Scouts of the Philippines.

The old LTO building would be reconstructed into a multi-use building, possibly CyberCentre 2.

In March, the LTO-Bacolod office transferred to its new location in Sitio Manaysayaw, Barangay Mansilingan. (Watchmen Daily Journal)
