ILOILO City – “I’m satisfied with the performance of Police Colonel Bayani Razalan as the officer-in-charge (OIC) of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO).”

This was according to Police Brigadier General Jack Wanky, director of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6).

Wanky said Razalan’s efforts to curb illegal activities in the province especially in the campaign against illegal drugs, illegal gambling and illegal fishing are commendable.

“So far IPPO director is doing well. He has a lot of accomplishments. He followed my instructions,” Wanky said.

Razalan was installed as IPPO OIC director on April 19. After a month he was able to arrest 47 drug suspects in 41 operations across the province and seized approximately 1,487.34 grams of shabu valued at around P10.1 million.

Of those apprehended, 13 were identified as high-value targets.

In addition, IPPO’s tracker teams executed 96 manhunt operations, resulting in the arrest of 96 fugitives, including 15 who were classified as most wanted.

The IPPO had also arrested 41 persons for illegal fishing and impounded 24 fishing vessels from April 19 to May 19.

Razalan, for his part, was honored and grateful to Wanky and Iloilo’s Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. for entrusting him the IPPO.

“I’m so thankful for giving me the chance to serve the Ilonggos. I will try my best to serve and protect the people of Iloilo,” Razalan said./PN
