BACOLOD City – A drug suspect wanted in Manila was arrested in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.
The 37-year-old Alfie Abilong was caught around 8:15 p.m. on Thursday at his residence in Barangay 3, La Carlota City, a police report showed.
Officers from the La Carlota City police station issued Abilong with two arrest warrants that Judge Silvino Pampilo Jr. of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 26 in Manila issued on Nov. 17, 2017.
The police were also armed with a search warrant that Judge Cyclamen Jison-Fernandez of the RTC Branch 63 in La Carlota City issued on Oct. 4.
Abilong faces charges for violation of sections 14 and 16 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, before the Manila RTC.
Abilong was detained awaiting proper disposition.
A total of P100,000 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
