BACOLOD City – Charged with illegal possession of firearm, a man was nabbed along Caminos Street in Barangay Balintawak, Escalante City, Negros Occidental.
Officers from the Escalante City police station served the 24-year-old resident Gilbert Calabroso with an arrest warrant around 11 a.m. on Wednesday, a police report showed.
Judge Estefanio Libutan Jr. of the Regional Trial Court Branch 57 in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental issued the warrant on Feb. 12, 2018.
Calabroso was accused of violating Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
He was detained in the Escalante City police station custodial facility.
It was not immediately clear if a bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
