CAPIZ – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Capiz sought the help of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) for funds to realize proposed road projects in the towns of Panay, Maayon and Pilar.
During a recent regular season, the SP passed Resolution No. 624-2021 requesting P20 million from DBM secretary Wendel Avisado.
According to Vice Gov. James Magbanua, the proposed road projects were:
* concreting of Cabugao-Calapawan Provincial Road (portion) in Barangay Calapawan, Panay, Capiz – P6.707 million
* concreting of Maayon-Palagian Provincial Road (portion) in Barangay Palagian, Maayon, Capiz – P5.293 million
* concreting of Sta. Fe-San Ramon Provincial Road (portion) in Pilar, Capiz – P8 million
Magbanua said the road projects aim to ease travel in those areas./PN
