BACOLOD City – In an operation spearheaded by the Tracker Team of Sagay Component City Police Station, “Junjun,” the No. 2 city-level most wanted person, was apprehended.
“Junjun” is a 25-year-old carpenter residing in Purok Paghidaet, Barangay Baviera, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
He violated Republic Act 10591, commonly known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation.
The arrest transpired at 3:25 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11, on Lacson Street in Barangay Bata, Bacolod City.
The warrant, issued and signed on Aug. 18, 2023 by Executive Judge Hon. Reginald M. Fuentebella of the Regional Trial Court 6 (RTC-6), Branch 73 in Sagay City recommended a P200,000 bail.
On the same day, in Iloilo province, the Leganes Municipal Police Station successfully executed a warrant of arrest against “Anton.”
The apprehension took place at 4:30 p.m. in Barangay Guinobatan.
“Anton” is identified as the No. 1 most wanted person at the municipal level and No. 7 at the provincial level.
The warrant of arrest for the crime of rape was issued by Hon. Elijo Sharon Ronzales Herrera-Bellones of RTC-6, Branch 27 on Jan. 9 with no bail recommended.
Earlier on Jan. 9, the No. 10 most wanted person in Iloilo province was busted.
At 9:35 a.m. in Barangay Alibunan, Calinog, subject “Brian” was served with an arrest warrant for violation of Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women’s and Children Act of 2004. Bail was set at P72,000.
“Brian” is also wanted for two counts of violations of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, with bail recommended at P70,000 each.
All warrants were issued by Assisting Judge Redentor Eugenio Esperanza of RTC-6, Branch 76 in Janiuay.
On the same day, the Janiuay Municipal Police Station busted the town’s No. 3 most wanted person for the crime of murder.
“Kutong” was served at 5:23 p.m. in Barangay Quipot with his arrest warrant dated Dec. 21, 2023, issued by Hon. Gemalyn Faunillo-Tarol of RTC-6, Branch 76 in Janiuay.
No bail bond for his temporary liberty was recommended.
All arrested persons are being held by the respective police stations for proper dispositon./PN
