BACOLOD City – Western Visayas’ No. 5 most wanted person was captured in Isabela, Negros Occidental.
The successful operation of the Isabela Municipal Police Station (MPS), together with other police forces, led to the arrest of “John” on Feb. 1 in the town’s Barangay Bulad.
He was also tagged as the No. 9 provincial-level and No. 7 municipal-level most wanted person.
The arrest warrant by Hon. Cyclamen Jison Fernandez, Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court 6, Branch 63 in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental was issued on Jan. 23, 2024.
“John’s” charges included violations of Republic Act (RA) 8353 for rape and Sections 4A and 4D of RA 9995, or the Anti-Photo and Voyeurism Act of 2009.
The warrant recommended no bail for the rape charge, while P21,000 bail is recommended for each section violated under RA 9995.
The suspect is presently under the custody of Isabela MPS for proper disposition./PN
