BACOLOD City – A man, who is working as a watchman on his uncle’s farm was shot to death at about 2:45 a.m. on April 9, in Barangay Pilar Hinigaran, Negros Occidental.
Police said the victim Joemarie Gariando, 49, of Barangay San Juan, Binalbagan Negros Occidental, but the assailant is yet to be identified.
Initial investigation disclosed the victim sustained three gunshot wounds to the head and an injury to the chest believed to be caused by a blunt hard object.
The uncle of the victim told the police that he woke up when he heard three gunfire.
He checked outside then he saw the victim lifeless with severe bleeding on the head.
Recovered from the crime scene were two fired cartridge cases of .45 calibers and a fired bullet slug of the same caliber.
