BACOLOD City – A 5-year-old girl got ran over by a water tanker at Don Salvador Heights in Barangay Tinampaan, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Mary Grace Camacho – a resident of the village – died, a police report showed.
She was rushed to the Cadiz District Hospital where the attending physician pronounced her “dead on arrival.”
The incident happened around 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday, the report added.
The driver of the tanker was identified as 64-year-old Fernando Sabornay, also a resident of Barangay Tinampaan.
According to the police, Sabornay – who was driving a truck owned by RMN Construction at the time of the incident – did not see Camacho playing near the road.
Sabornay was now in the custody of the Cadiz City police station.
