ILOILO City – A wayward truck hit a tree in Barangay Nasunogan, Dao, Capiz. Five persons were injured, including the driver.
The injured driver was 52-year-old Lito Fabilla of Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
The four others were Fabilla’s passengers. The police identified them as John Dennis Occeña, 24; Aphol John Occeña, 26; Jonald Barboa, 30; and Roberto Timpas, 49. All were residents of Barangay Majanlud, Sapian, Capiz.
The truck was bound for Iloilo City. Around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Fabilla lost control of the vehicle, police said.
