BACOLOD City — Personnel of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Bago City have confiscated four marijuana cigarette sticks contained in a toothpaste tube.
The toothpaste tube was inside a plastic bag containing laundry soaps, bath soaps and other toiletries for Agustin” Jojo” Salutin, who was detained in the facility for murder, said Chief Insp. Julius Ceasar Chavez, BJMP head.
BJMP personnel inspected the plastic bag delivered by an unidentified tricycle driver at about 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
A toothpaste tube, whose form they found bizarre, caught the attention of the inspectors. When they opened it, they found four sticks of marijuana cigarettes neatly inserted.
Chavez said the tricycle driver told the guard that he was told to deliver the plastic bag to the BJMP facility and hurriedly left. He said they tried to identify the tricycle driver, to no avail.
The BJMP is investigating the incident./PN
