
ILOILO City – The No. 1 most wanted person (MWP) in Western Visayas was arrested at around 12:40 p.m. yesterday in Barangay Sabang, Caluya, Antique.
Dennis Malacad, 51, was a resident of Barangay Sabang. He was a rape suspect.
Combined elements of the Caluya, Antique police station, Regional Intelligence Unit of the Police Regional Office 6, Antique Police Provincial Office – Intelligence Unit, and Maritime Police – Culasi served Malacad with an arrest warrant issued by Presiding Judge Josefina Fulo Muego of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 13 (Culasi, Antique) on July 27, 2022.
Malacad was also tagged the No. 1 most wanted person in the municipality of Caluya and province of Antique.
The alleged rape was claimed to have happened between March 2018 to July 2019.
The suspect was taken to the Caluya police station.
In another development, the Roxas City police arrested the city’s No. 1 most wanted person at around 11 a.m. on Aug. 4 at St. Francis Subdivision, Barangay Tanque, Roxas City.
The suspect was Billy Gaborne, 47, of Barangay VIII, Roxas City.
He had a standing warrant of arrest for violation of Republic Act 9165 (illegal gun possession) issued by Presiding Judge Esperanza Isabel Poco-Deslate of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 1 (Roxas City) dated Aug. 2, 2022.
Gaborne’s case stemmed from a buy-bust operation conducted against him by authorities sometime in September 2018 in Roxas City, Capiz.
No bail bond recommended for the temporary liberty of the two accused.
The suspect was taken to the Roxas City police station.
