ANTIQUE – The No. 1 most wanted person in Western Visayas was arrested in Barangay Takas, Valderrama town.
The 40-year-old alias “Ronald,” a resident of the said place, was facing murder charges.
Joint operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Antique Field Unit and Valderrama Municipal Police Station (MPS) caught the suspect on Wednesday, July 31, through the strength of an arrest warrant.
The suspect was detained at the Valderrama MPS pending turnover to the court of origin.
The court recommended no bail bond for his temporary liberty.
Brigadier General Jack Wanky, the director of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6), commended the successful operation of the authorities.
PRO-6 data showed that as of July 31, 12 wanted persons were apprehended across the region.
Of the number, three were most wanted persons and nine were other wanted persons./PN
