ILOILO – Region 6’s No. 10 wanted man was arrested on Sunday at Residential State Manila, Carmona, Cavite.
Sixty-two-year-old Nestor Navarra of Barangay Burak, Maasin town was taken to Camp Crame in Quezon City where he was temporarily detained.
Joint elements of the Maasin police station, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and the Mandurriao police station (Iloilo City) served the warrant of arrest to Navarra around 6 p.m.
Judge Ma. Theresa Enriquez-Gaspar of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 33 (Iloilo City) denied bail for the suspect’s temporary liberty.
Navarra reportedly shot to death a village councilman in 2014.
He is set to be transferred to Maasin./PN
