ILOILO City – The Iloilo City Police Office’s (ICPO) Police Station 5 successfully apprehended Western Visayas’ No. 2 most wanted person.
The 17-year-old alias “Boy”, a resident of Arevalo district, was collared on Wednesday morning, September 25, in Barangay Oñate De Leon, Mandurriao district.
He has a pending arrest warrant for the cases of rape by sexual assault and rape.
The suspect was detained at the Police Station 5.
A P120,000 bail bond was recommended for his rape by sexual assault charge but the court recommended no bail bond for rape case.
Meanwhile, from September 10 to 24 this year, the ICPO arrested a total of 24 fugitives, of whom eight were most wanted persons and 19 were classified as other wanted persons.
Brigadier General Jack Wanky, director of the Police Regional Office 6, lauded the ICPO personnel for the successful operations against wanted persons.
“This is a manifestation of the collaborative and collective effort of the police and the community to look after the outlaws in the region,” he added./PN
