BACOLOD City – A 93-year-old man who went missing on Sept. 15 was found lifeless the next day in Sitio Mantamiloc, Barangay Isio, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
Chief Inspector Alan Gary Resuma, officer-in-charge of the Cauayan police station, identified the man as Melchor Amante Castro Sr.
Castro’s body was found beside a 5-meter canal along the highway in the village around 6:15 a.m., a police report showed.
Medicolegal officer Febbie Vidal conducted a post-mortem examination on the body.
