Death penalty should be revived. Agree or disagree?
– MARVIN MONGAO, student, Matias Ybiernas Street, Iloilo City
I disagree. Criminals are criminals, but humans are never in the right position to take lives.
The law is something that we have to abide as citizens of this country. But death is something that God can only decide. He is the one who has given us life, He is the only who can take it as well. – ELLYN NAVIDA, former call center agent, Iloilo City
I agree gid. – RAMY TORRES, 28, motorcycle mechanic, San Rafael, Iloilo
God gave us life and so God is the only one who has the right to take it away. If we agree on this, we won’t have any difference from people who are murderers or criminals. – DOROTHY JOY FUERTE, overseas Filipino worker, Cambodia
Why not? There’s nothing to be afraid of. I believe that with death penalty, criminality will lessen. – RENZ ISANO, 24, former call center agent, Iloilo City
We do not have the right to take anyone’s life. We are not perfect, so let’s give a chance to those nga convicted. – CHERRY JOY LABIOS, student, Bugasong, Antique
Dependi guro kun mapamatud-an nga kriminal gid. – JOMAR ARCA, 39, restaurant employee, Iloilo City
The Philippine justice system today is not perfect, dugangan pa gid na.
I believe everybody deserves a second chance. – LESLIE ANN LAGRADA, Journalism student, Dueñas, Iloilo
– JULIE JOLO, 29, laborer, Leganes, Iloilo
I beg to disagree. The revival of death penalty will create a chaotic society. How about ang mga indi ka intindi regarding death penalty, mamatay na lang tawo just because may sala sila. This will affect the image of our country since we a predominantly Catholic country. – ROWEN JEAN LEDESMA, Barangay Cubay, Jaro, Iloilo City
– ROWEL JAVELLANA, 44, jeepney driver, Iloilo City
I think indi dapat. Kun gusto mo gid sila mag antus or mag hinulsol sa mga sala nila, let them suffer in jail rather than die kay daw ginapadali mo lang ang kabuhi nila. Mas better if ma-prolong ila agony, indi bala? – ROCHEL DECIPULO, 28, housewife, Pototan, Iloilo
