ROXAS City – The killing of two Iloilo-based lovers whose bodies were separately recovered in Dumalag, Capiz and Dumarao, Capiz over the weekend could be related, according to the police.
Erlon Lego, 26, was a resident of Barangay Bagungbong, Lambunao, Iloilo. He was found dead with gunshot wounds in Barangay Dolores, Dumalag.
His girlfriend Rose Bering, 28, of Anilao, Iloilo was found dead in Barangay San Juan Dumarao. She, too, was shot to death.
Police Captain Leomindo Tayopon of the Dumalag police station said Lego’s family identified and claimed his remains.
It was alleged that Lego had a pending court case in Iloilo.
Bering, on the other hand, once lived in Ivisan, Capiz with a former live-in partner. They parted ways and she returned to Iloilo.
The investigation of the Dumalag and Dumarao police stations is ongoing./PN
