BACOLOD City – Police were still trying to figure out the motive in the stabbing of a 20-year-old man in Barangay Tinampa-an, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Eddie Rico sustained a stab wound on the right abdomen. He was confined in the Cadiz City Emergency Clinic.
Rico was sitting with friends at a park in Barangay 4, Cadiz City on Thursday when a group of men attacked him, police said.
A bladed weapon was used in the stabbing, a police report stated without identifying the exact kind.
The Cadiz City police arrested the following suspects – Oliver Agustin, 18, Carlo Enumerables, 18, Alfred Mahusay, 18, Jeremy Belasa, 18, and Nico Anere, 21, all residents of the city.
The suspects were taken to the police station./PN
