WILCON Depot SEVP-Chief Operating Officer Rosemarie Ong was hailed as the 2018 International Women Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC) Awardee during the IWEC 11th Annual Conference and Awards at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) Shanghai, China on Sept. 11.
Rosemarie Ong received the award from IWEC Ambassador and Foundation Chairwoman Ruth A. Davis. The award honors women who have achieved the highest standards in business and expanded their companies through their global outreach. Rosemarie Ong’s strong and successful entrepreneurial business path and nurturing ways of doing business despite of the male-dominated construction/retail industry makes her outstanding.
For more than three decades, Rosemarie Ong has been managing Wilcon Depot, the Philippine’s leading home improvement and construction supply retailer. She has held positions in Marketing, Administration and Operations. She is also currently serving as the newly elected President of Philippine Retailers Association (PRA) and the President of Wilcon Buildersâ Foundation, Inc. (WBFI). She also served as the Former Director and Chairman Committee on CSR and Public Relations of Philippine Constructors Association (PCA) and Former Treasurer of the Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA) Foundation.
