ILOILO City – Defending champion Western Institute of Technology (WIT) and the Central Philippine University (CPU) Golden Lions continued their domination in the 7’s Football League Iloilo Season 2 at the West Visayas State University Football Field here over the weekend.
John Robert Solen, Shaun El John Aguero, Celso Orquina Jr., and L’Burt Porras fired a goal each for WIT in a 5-1 domination over Panthers F.C., which suffered its second straight defeat.
CPU, on the other hand, handed Iloilo City Bagwis F.C. (2-1) its first defeat, 5-3. Barotac Nuevo’s Jed Delariarte scored two goals, while Jarlson Roy Derutas, Arlo Salvacion and Eduard Acervida netted a goal each. Rich John Cabuday, Kevin Sernicula and Mark Anthony Amogod were the goal scorers for Iloilo City Bagwis F.C. in the losing effort.
Camp Peralta FC, meanwhile, captured its second win in three games with a thrilling 4-3 decision over Dyes Kantos F.C. (0-3). The goal scorers for Camp Peralta were Andro Advincula, Francisco Garino and Jasper Cantonjos.
Janiuay F.C., on the other hand, nailed its first victory in two games with a 7-4 domination over Ilonggo United F.C. (1-2).
In the women’s division, Santa Barbara Locals F.C. captured its third win in as many games with a 2-1 win over Ilonggo United F.C. (2-1). The scorers for Santa Barbara were Loren Marie Soriano and Catherine Marie Solatorio.
CPU Golden Lions walloped Jaro F.C.,9-0. The goal scorers were Natasha Cabantug, Andrea Hopida, Cyna Hayawon, Catherine Advincula and Maria Kasandra Andon.
Finally, Janiuay F.C. (2-1) defeated Camp Peralta FC (0-3) via default./PN
