BACOLOD City – Police caught a woman facing rape and child abuse charges in Barangay 5, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
The 29-year-old resident Evelyn Riantoco was caught around 3:10 p.m. on Feb. 8, police said.
Judge Amy Avellano of the Regional Trial Court Branch 58 in San Carlos City issued the warrants, all dated Feb. 5, 2021.
She was detained in the lockup facility of the San Carlos City police station.
The court set no bail bond for the rape charge and P480,000 for violation of Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act./PN
