BORACAY – A woman is now detained after a buy-bust operation in Boracay Island on March 10, 2022.

Police seized the drug items from 48-year old Melissa  Dolagan Tuclab, a native of Kalinga Apayao and presently staying in Sitio Bantud in Barangay Manocmanoc.

The street pusher allegedly sold a heat-sealed transparent sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer in exchange for P1,000 buy-bust money.

ā€œIā€™m just renting an apartment here. I don’t use drugs,ā€ the suspect said.

Operatives of the Malay municipal police station and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) conducted the anti-drug operation in the suspectā€™s rented apartment on Thursday evening.

Recovered also during the body search were three sachets of suspected shabu.

After her arrest, Tuclab denied she is engaging in illegal drug transactions.

Tuclab will be charged for violations of Section 5 (selling of illegal drugs) and Section 11 (possession of illegal drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
