ILOILO City – “Great fear and anxiety” was what a confrontation with a woman she suspected was her husband’s mistress caused a resident of Tigbauan, Iloilo, a police report showed.

The 32-year-old Joan Lacao had the incident recorded at the police station in Mandurriao district.

Lacao, who lived in Barangay Baguingin, Tigbauan, went to the 31-year-old Kaice Acma in Barangay Q. Abeto, Mandurriao at around 7 a.m. on March 14 and told the latter, “Ari na bana ko (Here comes my husband),” the police report stated.

This irked Acma, prompting her to grab a cup full of hot cooking oil and splashed it on Lacao. In retaliation, the latter slammed a helmet onto the former’s head, stated the report.

Lacao’s husband Alejandro, 36, pacified them.

Acma could not be reached for comment as of this writing.

Police referred the incident to the barangay lupon./PN
