ILOILO City – A high-value drug pushing suspect was arrested in Barangay Monica-Blumentritt, City Proper.
Analyn Yturiaga, 40, was taken to Police Station 1. The police also arrested her husband Mariano, 47.
According to Chief Inspector Aldren Lamera, Police Station 1 chief, Analyn ranked No. 8 in their list of suspected drug personalities.
The sting operation targeting Analyn was carried out around 10:45 p.m. on May 10. An undercover police officer bought from her and Mariano a sachet of shabu for P1,000.
Five more sachets were seized from Analyn’s possession, said Lamera.
The Yturiagas did not turn themselves in to the police when Oplan Double Barrel – the Philippine National Police’s campaign against illegal drugs – was launched in July last year, said Lamera.
“They lent money drug pushers and sometimes accepted shabu as payment,” the police official added.
Lamera linked Analyn to drug pushing suspect Jesus “Jjing-jing” Espinosa Jr. who is currently serving an eight-year prison sentence at the Iloilo District Jail for a 2012 frustrated murder case./PN
