ILOILO City – Charged with bigamy, a 48-year-old woman was arrested in Barangay West Timawa, Molo district, a police report showed.
Officers from Police Station 1 served Myline Sustento a bench warrant at around 5 p.m. on May 27.
A bench warrant is typically issued to a defendant in a criminal case for failure to appear for trial.
Acting Presiding Judge Eduardo S. Sayson of the Regional Trial Court Branch 53 (Bacolod City) issued the warrant on March 9.
Sustento was detained in the custodial facility of Police Station 1 as of this writing pending turnover to the court. (April Grace R. Padilla, Intern/PN)
