ANTIQUE – A woman was found dead in Sitio Igyoyo, Barangay Bandoja, Tibiao, Antique.
Wilcy Amar Tamba, 34 and married, was a resident of the place.
She left their house around 10 a.m. on May 21 to gather wood but failed to return.
Barangay officials and tanods conducted a search and rescue operation until they found her the following day, May 22, around 5 p.m., covered with dried leaves.
The Tibiao Municipal Police Station (MPS) found stab wounds on different parts of the victim’s body and believed that she was raped.
Police Captain Paul Joseph Oberio, officer-in-charge of Tibiao MPS, called on residents who have information about the incident to come to the police station to speed up the resolution of the case./PN
