ILOILO City – Consuming food sold at eateries but not paying for them will sure send one to jail.
That was what happened to a 19-year-old resident of Barangay Santo Niño, Arevalo district.
Rosbel Nisnisan ordered and ate food items that cost a total of P115 at a carinderia (eatery) in Barangay Hipodromo, City Proper but did not pay for them.
She told the carinderia owners – Marites Barrido, 40, and Analina Dador, 54 – she cannot pay after consuming the food, a police report showed.
Among the food items she ordered and ate at around 8 p.m. on Sept. 7 were sarsiado pork, worth P30; liver barbecue, P15; pork barbecue, P50; and two cups of rice, P20.
When Barrido and Dador asked her for payment, Nisnisan told them she did not have money, prompting the former two to accost her, police said.
Nisnisan was turned over to Police Station 1 where she was detained./PN
