BACOLOD City – Crossing the road turned fatal for a woman on Burgos Extension, Barangay Estefania.
The 42-year-old resident Liza Cagalitan died of head and body injuries, a police report showed.
According to police investigators, Cagalitan was crossing the road when she was hit by a passenger jeepney driven by 40-year-old Judgen Maconocido of Barangay Handumanan. After that, a cargo truck driven by 29-year-old Brian Olasiman of Cebu City also bumped her.
The incident happened around 7:20 p.m. on March 10.
Maconocido and Olasiman were detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 4, facing charges./PN
