ILOILO City – Police caught a woman playing the illegal card game tong-its in Barangay La Paz, Hamtic, Antique.
Ma. Emelyn Pachoco, a resident of the village, was caught on Tuesday, a police report showed.
Pachoco’s two alleged cohorts –Vima Marcelino and Adelfa Sapul – managed to evade arrest.
Personnel of the Hamtic police station staged the anti-gambling operation.
The suspect was detained and charged with violation of Presidential Decree 1602, which prescribes stiffer penalties on illegal gambling./PN
