Woman robbed, dropped off road

BACOLOD City – A 22-year-old woman who lost her P15,000 to robbers was found lying along the national road in Hacienda Nakab, Barangay Bubog, Talisay City, Negros Occidental, with her mouth covered with tissue paper and a handkerchief.

Authorities identified the victim as Stephanie Bonda, a resident of Barangay Hawaiian in Silay City.

Talisay City police station’s investigation revealed that a certain Jason Soblingo found the victim along the road at around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23. She sustained wounds, marked “X,” on both hands.

Police immediately responded and brought the victim to the Talisay City Health Center.

Bonda told the police that at around 10 a.m. on Wednesday, she was about to deposit the money amounting to P15,000 in a bank located along the national highway in Barangay Zone 7.

When she got off from the pedicab an unidentified man sprayed something on her face causing her to feel dizzy.

She further said that she was forcibly brought inside a gray van with three men inside including the driver, until she became unconscious.

The victim said the robbers also carted away her cellular phone and she was later dropped off along the national road./PN
