ANTIQUE – In a fit of jealousy, a man allegedly repeatedly stabbed his live-in partner in Barangay San Juan, Sibalom.
The 28-year-old Rina Jean Belleza died of multiple stab wounds while being treated at the Ramon Maza Sr. Memorial District Hospital on Monday, July 24.
The suspect, Erizalde Arnaiz, was a resident of Barangay Banban, Laua-an.
According to the Sibalom Municipal Police Station (MPS), the victim’s family found her on the floor in a pool of blood.
Moments prior, according to the family, they saw the suspect leaving the house with a knife.
Arnaiz was allegedly jealous of Belleza’s textmate, according to the Sibalom MPS.
The suspect voluntarily surrendered through a barangay official in Barangay Cabariuan, Sibalom. He was taken to the Sibalom MPS./PN
