ILOILO City – Her neighbor accused a woman of “spreading malicious gossip.”
Fritzie Joy Oñarto, 25, of Barangay West Habog-habog, Molo district accused her neighbor Rhea Joy Santander of “defaming” and “attacking” her.
Oñarto reported to the police that Santander confronted her in front of the former’s house at around 12 noon on Feb. 19.
It was not immediately clear as of this writing what the supposed gossip was about.
The two women were in the middle of a heated argument when Santander punched Oñarto while their neighbors tried to pacify them, the latter told the police.
Oñarto sustained a bruise on the right side of the head as a result, a police report showed.
Santander cannot be reached for comment as of this writing.
Police were letting the barangay lupon handle the dispute./PN
