ILOILO City — Nine sachets of suspected shabu were seized from two women in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Democracia, Jaro district.
Sheryl Hechanova, 33, of Barangay Democracia and Cindy Rose Garbino, 23, of Barangay Cuartero, both in Jaro, were arrested.
Hechanova sold to a police poseur buyer a sachet of suspected shabu for P300, while Garbino served as lookout.
Further recovered from the suspects were eight plastic sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.
Joint operatives of the Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Group and Jaro police station staged the buy-bust on July 14.
Hechanova and Garbino were detained at the Jaro police station. They were facing charges for the sale and possession of drugs./PN
