MANILA – A labor leader on Sunday urged workers to report to the Labor Department employers who refuse to give their 13th month pay.
Alan Tanjusay, spokesperson of the Associated Labor Unions–Trade Union Congress of the Philippines, said they still get reports that some workers have yet to receive the mandatory payment.
Tanjusay said employers who will continue to refuse giving the 13th month pay to their workers will face stiff penalties and even possible closure.
The labor leader stressed that employers have until the end of the year to give the 13th month pay to their workers. (ABS-CBN News/PN)
