THE Department of Science and Technology VI (DOST VI) mainstreams various science and technology (S&T) projects in Western Visayas through the 2022 NSTW Technology Tour Vlogs.
The Technology Tour Vlogs target to showcase scientific projects and innovations through vlogging. With this, DOST VI hopes to engage more people to take interest in S&T and to further promote STI culture in the region.
The vlogs will feature some of the research and development (R&D) centers, innovation hubs, and partner firms and agencies involved in notable projects in Western Visayas. Specifically, the projects to be showcased will involve the Negros Prawn Producers Cooperative (NPPC), Marmi Agricultural Corporation, Regional Yarn Production and Innovation Center (RYPIC) in ISAT U Miagao Campus, USA DOST-PCHRD Tuklas Lunas Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Laboratory housed in the University of San Agustin in Iloilo City, Herbanext Laboratories, Inc., and the Satellite Ground Receiving Station which houses the Project Understanding Lightning and Thunder’s (ULAT) Iloilo Ground Receiving Station (GRS) and the Knowledge Center for Weather, Atmospheric, Astronomical and Geophysical Observation (KWAAGO).
The NPPC, Marmi Agricultural Corporation, and Herbanext Laboratories, Inc. are partner firms based in Negros Occidental while the RYPIC, USA DOST-PCHRD Tuklas Lunas NMR Laboratory, and the Satellite Ground Receiving Station are projects based in Iloilo.
The vlogs will premiere on the DOST Region VI Official Facebook Page, facebook.com/DOSTRegionVI, starting Nov. 17 until 21, 2022. (DOSTVI-KMU)/PN
