MANILA – Taekwondo jins from Western Visayas showcased their stunning performances to earn medals for their taekwondo stables during the 2021 Smart/MVP Sports Foundation Global Online Taekwondo Championships.
A. Diasnes Gym in Iloilo City secured five medals during the Poomsae tournaments, with Rojohn dela Cruz capturing the lone gold medal in the 1st KUP Male Cadet category, while Elizabeth Marie Borres won a silver medal in the Blackbelt Cadet Female.
The squad had three bronze medals courtesy of Alfie Diasnes (Blackbelt Senior Male), Kasimira Therese Consular (1st KUP Junior Female), and Kian Ezekiel Castigador (1st KUP Children Male).
Meanwhile, Seth Ryan Taekwondo Academy finished with a silver and bronze medal in the Poomsae event of the tournament sanctioned by the Philippine Taekwondo Association.
Rogin Ace Segurigan notched the squad’s lone silver medal when ranked second in the 3rd KUP Junior Male. Princess Dennisse Mana-ay bagged bronze in the 5th KUP Female Cadet competition.
Negros Taekwondo Union-Tigers New Generation, on the other hand, ended the first two days of the virtual event with three medals – one gold and two bronze.
Christelle Therese Avanceña was a gold medal awardee, while JamieHannah Agaloos and Ceanne Kyle Rosquillo settled for bronze medals.
