ILOILO City – The No. 1 most wanted person in Western Visayas was arrested around 12:37 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, in Barangay Abaca, Tobias Fornier, Antique.

Jairos Osuyos, a 34-year-old resident of Barangay Atabay, Tobias Fornier, was served with an arrest warrant for rape back in August 2021.

Police said the complainant was a 13-year-old girl.

Joint elements of the Tobias Fornier Municipal Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Team of the Antique Police Provincial Office, Antique Maritime Police Station, Regional Intelligence Unit 6, and Regional Intelligence Division 6 (RID6) carried out the arrest.

Osuyos is currently in the custody of the Tobias Fornier police .

Judge Ernesto L. Abijay Jr. of Regional Trial Court – Branch 10 in San Jose, Antique recommended no bail bond for the suspect’s temporary liberty.

“I instructed all police unit commanders in the region to go after all wanted persons. We will not allow criminals to roam around and give them chances to launch their nefarious activities. We will be steadfast in our mission to account these wanted persons to ensure a safe and orderly Western Visayas,” said Police Regional Office 6 director, Police Brigadier General Leo Francisco./PN
